Feeling Overwhelmed by Your Child's Diagnosis?

An autism diagnosis can leave parents feeling isolated, unsure, and emotionally drained. You want to help your child — but how? Managing challenging behaviors, navigating meltdowns, and knowing when to push versus when to comfort are skills that no one teaches you automatically. Many parents tell us they feel like they’re figuring it out alone.

You don’t have to. When parents learn the same evidence-based strategies their child’s therapists use, progress accelerates — at home, in public, and during everyday routines.

What Our Parent ABA Training Program Includes — Raleigh, NC

Triangle ABA’s parent training and support program equips caregivers with the practical ABA strategies needed to support their child’s development beyond the clinic. This isn’t a lecture series — it’s an interactive, BCBA-led program designed to give you actionable skills you can use the same day. Monthly group sessions combine education with real discussion among families who share similar experiences.

Each month, our experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts lead structured training sessions covering core topics in ABA and autism support. You’ll learn specific techniques for managing challenging behaviors, reinforcing positive actions, building communication, and creating predictable routines. Sessions are built around the C.R.R.I.B. framework — our proprietary curriculum designed to give parents real tools, not just theory.

Every training session ends with clear, actionable takeaways you can start using immediately. We cover real scenarios families face daily: what to do during a meltdown at the grocery store, how to set up routines that reduce bedtime resistance, when and how to prompt communication, and strategies for encouraging independence with daily tasks like getting dressed or eating.

One of the most powerful parts of parent training is connection. Group sessions create space for parents to share experiences, ask questions, and support each other. Many of our families have formed lasting friendships through these sessions — something that’s hard to find when you’re navigating an autism diagnosis.

Parent training at Triangle ABA is available at our Raleigh and Garner clinics and is open to families regardless of whether their child currently receives ABA therapy through our program. Insurance may cover parent training as part of your child’s ABA treatment plan — our team can check your specific coverage during a free consultation.

Triangle ABA has been nothing short of a blessing. As a new parent of a child with autism, everything can appear to be a little crazy, but you have so many choices to make and you want to ensure that you make the best one. From the very beginning, they went out their way to ensure that I felt relaxed every step of the way. The owner personally called me and was able to relate to what I was experiencing, having a child that has autism as well. In fact, all of the staff there are in some way connected to a family member that has autism and have experience in that area. This factor allows them to heartfully connect to their patients. For each member of my child's team, they really have taken a personal interest in my son's development. I am sooo grateful. I recommend this school to anyone. There entire team is awesome.

My son has been at Triangle ABA for 2 and half years now and I have seen nothing but growth from him. My son started off mostly non-verbal but through intense therapy at Triangle, I have seen him over time become more social and develop more problem solving and critical thinking skills. We still have a ways to go as progress takes time and patience, but I am thankful for the small steps! The staff is wonderful. They helped me navigate the insurance application/authorization process with ease. His BCBA and RBTs have been wonderful...truly dedicated to his growth and care about the kids. The facility has lots of space and room for activities and growth. Amber also hosts several parent trainings to help you learn skills and connect with other parents. I would defintely recommend!

Why Raleigh Families Choose Triangle ABA for Parent Training

Founded by a Parent Who's Been in Your Shoes

Our founder is a BCBA and a mother of a child with autism. She built this program because she knows what it feels like to need answers — and not have them. This isn't a corporate add-on.

Real Strategies, Not Just Information

Our C.R.R.I.B. curriculum gives you techniques for dinner, bedtime, errands, and the car — not just concepts. You leave each session with something you can use today.

A Community, Not Just a Class

Group sessions create genuine connections with families on the same journey. The friendships formed here often last well beyond the program.

Integrated with Your Child's ABA Team

Parent training isn't siloed — it's directly coordinated with your child's therapy. Your BCBA ensures strategies align with what your child is working on in sessions.

How Much Does Parent ABA Training Cost in Raleigh?

Parent training is often covered as a component of your child’s ABA therapy treatment plan. When included in a BCBA-approved plan, many insurance providers — including Medicaid, BCBS, Alliance, and Trillium — cover parent training sessions at no additional out-of-pocket cost to you.

At Triangle ABA, our intake team reviews your specific insurance policy and explains exactly what’s covered before you attend your first session. Even if your child is not currently enrolled in ABA therapy with us, we can help explore your coverage options. There are no hidden costs, and we never want finances to stand between a parent and the tools they need.
